James Labangka
Director
James is a homegrown Sabahan who earned his qualifications in the UK. His vast experience lies within the ship building and maintenance industry. His left a very high-level position at Sabah Shipyard to helm a marine engineering company. He spent more than 15 successful years helming Satria Murni Sdn Bhd, before joining NESB.
He specializes in propulsion systems, anchoring, cargo handling systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, electrical power generation and electrical power distribution, interior and exterior communication, and other related marine engineering fields. Through his business development, the company intends to supply key services to the O&G industry players, namely Shell & Petronas in Labuan.
As Managing Director, James plays a key role developing our engineering and supply services arm as well advising on turnkey engineering projects. His span of knowledge as well as his networks in the local industry has proven invaluable to the growth of NESB.
Pravind Panickar
Managing Director
Pravind came to Sabah to take up a role as a project accountant for a project in the waste management industry. He was promoted to Head of Operations in East Malaysia whereby his role was to oversee the expansion of operations to Brunei, Tawau and Sandakan. He succeeded in increasing the organizations revenues to RM 11,000,000 per annum while playing a key role in ratification of the company’s operations to meet the Clean Development Mechanism, Carbon Financing terms of the World Bank carbon finance unit.
He resigned in January 2011 to venture off on his own and at NESB he is in charge of developing new business areas for the company to grow while monitoring the progress of current projects.
Hassan Muda Tutoh
Business Development
Hassan’s priority is to assist the company to acquire new customers and proposes additional services to existing ones. His role is a crucial one for NESB which is in line with its ambition to expand and to diversify its clientele be they from the private or government sector.
Kandukuri Sridhar Reddy
Director of Operations
Reddy has drawn deeply from his experiences in the engineering industry specifically to power generation projects. His career started off with Volstas Pvt Ltd & Eversendai Engineering where his roles included overseeing erection operation and maintenance of 25MW SIEMENS make, extraction cum condensing type turbine and 15MW condensing type turbines, maintenance of centrifugal pumps like feed water and cooling water pumps of up to 300 hps and maintenance of reciprocating air compressors and valves. Also developed knowledge in conveyor systems such asbelt type conveyors, chain conveyors and bucket elevators.
During this period, he oversaw and managed a team of 20 engineers and technicians. His previous posting was as project manager for MS Smart Recycling SDN BHD. Key roles include design and erection of a Municipal solid waste recycling plant (Materials Recovery Facility) with a capacity of 500tons/day, overseeing operations and maintenance of the Materials Recovery Facility
At NESB Reddy oversees all operations of the company. This includes liaising with all technical directors and managers to ensure that the overall operations and delivery of works at NESB are at their optimum.
Kevin Anthony
Project Manager
Kevin is a Construction Project Manager with 7 years of experience in the fields civil engineering solutions, design supervision, construction management and testing and commissioning. His key experiences come from multiple urban building projects with the most notable being part of the team to build a 11 Storey New Office Building Complete with 3 1/2 Floor sub-basement car park for PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd at Kota Kinabalu.
At the NESB, Kevin skills in project management, negotiating large scale contracts and project management will play a key role in project delivery.
Fererrly Jimmy
Finance & Contracts
Fererrly is a trained quantity surveyor and contracts management with 11 years of experience across various kinds of construction projects. He has the cost planning experience for a range of projects which includes cost analysis, initial estimation, forecasting, cost control and cash flow reporting.
He also has experience in Pre-Contract Stage coordination, ensuring that NESB will have a steady hand from the start of the project. From releasing bids for subcontract works, to shortlisting and managing a team to ensure that progress claims, quantity taking off and any other contractual issues are seen to in a professional and efficient manner.
Zeprogger Kohiya
Project Management Team
Zep has 12 years of experience in the field of construction. He is able to get projects of the ground that the ground team from supervisors to skilled and general workers are adhering towards a culture of continuous improvement. His experience ranges across multiple construction projects including playing a key role as site manager for a notable oil and gas civil contractor at the Kimanis SOGT project.
His experience includes overseeing the performance of all trade contractors and review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure that all specifications and regulations are met. Ile skill in ensuring that human and mechanical components of the site project delivery team are efficient is critical in ensuring that our construction schedules are met.
Winston SR Huang
Senior Advisor
Winston has over the years built strong networks with both government and private institutions negotiating complex contracts for provision of goods and services across a range of industries which include agriculture, food processing. He also brings to the table experience.
At NESB Winston plays a key role in the area of business development across all divisions whereby he lends his wealth of experience in contract negotiations.
Sherman Raday
Site Engineer
Sherman brings with him valuable experience of monitoring all ground activities at the project site. At NESB Sherman is a part of our site team and reports back to the chief engineer.
Mavis Labangka
Business Development Manager
Mavis brings on her experience in dealing with key personnel in government and private institutions in Sabah. She joined NESB after pursuing careers in the banking and marine engineering industry.
She currently assists the managing director in all areas of business development including locating or proposing potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities. Screening potential business deals by analyzing the deal requirements, potential, and financial; evaluating options. She also assists in developing negotiation strategies and positions by studying integration of a new venture with company strategies and operations.
Vijay Panickar
Head of Finance
Vijay joined NESB in 2011 to take up the challenge of structuring the company towards application for financing. His career has taken him from KL to Dubai where he worked in a range of industries from market research to materials handling.
NESB has since been financed by traditional banks and government funds such as MIDF and private investors to fund capital investment and cash flow requirements of its core business areas.
Apart from funding, he also oversees all day-to-day financing requirements and cash flow of operations advises on project financing.
Santhianathan Rayappan
Electrical Projects Manager
Santhianathan came on board NESB to formalize the electrical projects team. Since joining he has been instrumental in recruiting qualified individuals of calibre to form a solid team capable handling small to large scale electrical works. With more than 30 years of experience in the field of the electrical and power supply industry, his knowledge and experience will give NESB an edge when undertaking and completing projects for both the private and government sector. Santhianathan is registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and CIDB respectively.
